Antwerp City Card!
The Antwerp City Card is your key to discovering Antwerp and its assets over a 48-hour period. The card not only offers a significant price discount, but will let you experience the real Antwerp: a historic yet vibrant city at the crossroads of old and new, the home of Baroque painter Rubens, the Belgian fashion capital, with some amazing shopping streets, the diamond capital of the world, a port city which loves the good life. The Antwerp City Card has all that and more.
The convenient Antwerp City Card provides you with free access to churches and museums. It also features a 25% discount on attractions, sightseeing and bicycle rentals. To top it off, you can use the exclusive benefits in the back of the guide to get the most of your visit to Antwerp.
A guide accompanies the Antwerp City Card. In this guide, you will find all of the practical information and vouchers that you need to enjoy exclusive benefits and discounts at numerous locations in Antwerp. Be sure to keep it with you throughout your travels in Antwerp!
Practical information
On your first visit, the Antwerp City Card will be automatically activated for 48 hours. For example, if your first visit begins at 11:00 on Saturday, your Antwerp City Card will be valid until 10:59 on Monday. The discounts and exclusive benefits that are offered through the vouchers are valid until 31/12/2013.
You will be able to visit the top attractions in the Antwerp City Card at a discount only once and (obviously) only during opening hours. You should keep in mind that quite a few museums are closed on Monday.
Would you like to visit one of the locations listed in the City of Antwerp Card? Be sure to have the desk clerk at the site read your card first. Depending on the benefits that are offered (which are identified by icons in the guide), you may receive either free admission or an attractive discount. These benefits obviously apply only if you visit during the period within which the card is valid. If you would like to take advantage of an exclusive offer, just tear the voucher out of the guide.

Antwerp is a big city in a personal-sized package. It is therefore easy to explore the city on foot. This is why we have not included public transport in the Antwerp City Card. If you still prefer to use public transport, we recommend the purchase of a ten-trip card for De Lijn. This card costs € 9, and it can be purchased at the Antwerp Tourism & Convention desk at the Grand Place and Central Station. The information brochure for De Lijn is available at these locations, as well as in the De Lijn shops:
| Groenplaats Premetro Station | Monday through Friday from 8:00 until 18:00 Saturday from 8:00 until 16:00 |
| Rooseveltplaats Zuid | Monday through Friday from 7:00 until 19:00 Saturday from 8:00 until 16:00 |
| Antwerp Central Station (the Station Gallery, Pelikaanstraat entrance) | Monday through Friday from 8:00 until 18:00 |
