HeadquARTers

HeadquARTers, the headquarters of Katoen Natie, is home to an exceptional private collection. In the special private museum you can visit an exhibition about ‘3,500 years of textile art’.

Private museum

Art used to be part of daily life. It featured in churches and castles, people's homes and palaces, court buildings and city halls. HeadquARTers is echoing this ancient tradition, harmoniously blending entrepreneurship, architecture, art and history.

3,500 years of textile art

The roots of Katoen Natie lie in the trading of cotton, wool and hides. It has therefore gathered an amazing collection of antique textile art from Egypt and Central Asia. The exhibition ‘3,500 years of textile art’ guides you through Egyptian history with old fabrics, clothing and other archaeological finds. It is a permanent exhibition with over 600 objects, spread across 5 rooms in the HeadquARTers building.
Visitors can arrange a guided tour by appointment only. Tours last about two hours.
