Park Spoor Oost is the newest place to play, exercise or relax in Antwerp. The former railway yard is home to large events like the Sinksenfoor and Borgerwood but you can also go there for small-scale sports and relaxation activities.
The 10-hectare terrain along the Noordersingel in Borgerhout offers something for everyone. In the green zone (the unpaved part of the terrain) you'll find a hill with play equipment, a stand with seats, and picnic tables. On the paved part of Spoor Oost a cycling circuit, tennis and basketball courts, and football pitches are marked out. Between various events, the paved area is also used as a car park for the Trix, Lotto Arena and Sportpaleis concert halls that are located close by.
With a clear wink to its industrial past, four old train carriages were installed. Each carriage has its own function and character. The carriages are located on a platform. This is a great place to hang out with the entire family. You can enjoy a beverage in the sun on the terrace of "Bahnhof" (the new hotspot at Spoor Oost) or order a bite to eat after exercising in the park. This enormous terrain is one of the newest cosy places in Antwerp.

City Card: true.
It is not only the buildings that have survived the test of time in Antwerp, the triangular Stadspark is all that remains of Fort Herentals, one of the forts that guarded the city in the 16th century. Not far from the city centre and the hustle and bustle of the shopping streets the park borders onto the Jewish neighbourhood.
On sunny weekends Antwerpers gather at Nachtegalenpark, enjoying nature at its best.
Precious new life was breathed into an abandoned 24-hectare railway marshalling yard in 2008/9 when the Park Spoor Noord opened. Now a large panoramic green park emphasising greenery, light, space, leisure, culture, sport and events.
The Botanical Garden along Leopoldstraat is a unique green haven in the city centre. It is a world in one garden, exceptional trees and shrubs, 2000 herbs, cactuses and foreign plants will inspire the plant fundi.
Rivierenhof is one park that is busy, the 130 hectares of green welcomes those that are active or those who just like to watch those that are active! Walkers, cyclists, joggers, petanque players and fishing fanatics strut their stuff and tennis, basketball and miniature golf players battle it out on the courts.
