Antwerp has always been a ‘market town’ with a tradition of open markets. This chilled way of shopping reveals the real Antwerp for inhabitants and visitors alike. Local everyday markets are dotted around the city and over weekends themed markets offer an abundance of produce and things for sale.

Boekenplein (Books Square)
book market where you can enjoy musical performances while having something to eat/drink
De Coninckplein
every third Sunday of the month (except November, December, January and February), from 10 am to 5 pm

art market in the south district (Zuid); different artists (painters, photographers, graphic artists, sculptors) show their work in an alloyed "à la Montmartre" ambience. Lambermontmartre hosts a series of unique acoustic concerts.
May-September: every last Sunday from noon to 5 pm

Brocantwerpen - Flea market
Flea-market finds, antiques and vintage.

Swan Market

Rubens market
The Rubens market takes you back to the 17th century when Rubens, the great master of baroque, lived. The stallholders are dressed in clothes of that era.
