Shopping zone Fashion District

The ModeNatie, at the beginning of the Nationalestraat, houses the Fashion Museum (MOMU) and the Fashion Academy, the creative fashion heart of Antwerp. No wonder that almost every designer establishes a shop here.

Fashion epicentre

The Nationalestraat is the most fashionable street in Antwerp. This is where Antwerp’s fashion scene is based.Antwerp owes its worldwide fashion fame to the numerous designers – including the Antwerp Six – who graduated from the fashion department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts.

Renowned and beginning designers

When young designers leave Antwerp’s fashion campus, located in the ModeNatie on the corner of the Drukkerijstraat and the Nationalestraat, they often start a business in the area. The streets are teeming with major international names and Antwerp designers.

Hip & Happening

The Kammenstraat is also close by.This street is for those who are hip and trendy.Under the influence of the creative Nationalestraat, young, daring businesses open here next to posh boutiques.Colourful streetwear fills the display windows.Alternative shops like tattoo and piercing studios and a sci-fi and fantasy shop, as well as trendy light fitting shops and original food bars fill the spaces in between. It’s the pre-eminent location for real hipsters.
