The Scallop Shell Trail

Pilgrims arriving at the Sint-Jacobskerk [Saint Jacob’s Church] in Antwerp can visit the main sights by following the Scallop Shell Trail.

This trail runs from Saint Jacob’s Church to pelgrimsherberg. That having been said, even non-pilgrims will be enthralled by this particular trail; all there is to it is to follow the scallop shells embedded in the pavement. For those who didn’t know: the scallop shell is a typical emblem of Compostela pilgrims.
