FAQs about guided tours and walks

A guided tour or walk with Visit Antwerp will ensure that your visit to Flanders' largest city is unique and unforgettable. Look here to find out all you need to know before booking.

How and when to make a reservation?

Ideally, you should contact the Booking & Ticket department at Visit Antwerp at least three weeks before you plan to visit. You can do this by calling +32 (0)3 338 95 30 or via tickets@visitantwerpen.be on working days between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Guided walks can also be reserved online. To do this, click on the button 'Book now' beside each walk on this website and complete the form. Do this at least three weeks before your planned visit.

How many people can participate?

Normally, there is a maximum number of 20 participants per guide. Some museums make an exception and allow e.g. only 15 people per guide.
On bike tours, a maximum of 15 people can participate per guide. For bus tours, only 1 guide is required per vehicle. Bear in mind that you will need to organise your own bus with audio equipment.

How much does it cost?

For orders with a visit date before 01/01/2020:
The basic cost for a guided tour or walk with a guide is 75 euros for a maximum of 2 hours. The hourly rate for any additional, consecutive hours is 30 euros. A walk lasting 3 hours will therefore cost 105 euros. A full hour will be charged for each new hour that begins.

For orders with a visit date after 01/01/2020:
The basic cost for a guided tour or walk with a guide is 85 euros for a maximum of 2 hours. The hourly rate for any additional, consecutive hours is 35 euros. A walk lasting 3 hours will therefore cost 120 euros. A full hour will be charged for each new hour that begins.

Other rates may apply for exhibitions, special guided tours or workshops.
The rate is doubled before 8 a.m. and after 10 p.m. If the guide is required to collect the group from beyond the city outskirts (area between the river Scheldt and Singel), an additional 30 euros will be charged, unless this is the district where the guided tour or walk is to take place.

Visit Antwerp charges an administration cost of 5 euros for each booking.
Bear in mind that this does not include the price of admission tickets for museums and churches. These are paid in the museum or church themselves on the day of the visit.

How and when do I pay?

After placing your order, you will receive an email with confirmation and a payment form. In order to guarantee your reservation, you must pay at least 10 days before your visit.
You can pay by bank transfer or using a credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Eurocard).

What if I wish to cancel my booking?

You can cancel for free up to 10 days before your visit. If you cancel later, Visit Antwerp will charge you the full cost of your reservation, including the administration costs.
