The Rubens walk

Walk through the life of Peter Paul Rubens. Discover his secrets and his most beautiful paintings.

Pieter Paul Rubens was born on the 28th of June 1577 in the German town of Siegen. Few could have suspected that this little boy would become one of Flanders' finest painters. His new techniques brought about a true revolution in the painting of that time.

Rubens was not only a painter, but also a highly skilled diplomat. Respected by both the Spanish and the English king.

What drove his parents away from Antwerp? Away from their family and friends, not to mention Jan Rubens’ career as a lawyer?
Who was the man behind the painter Pieter Paul Rubens and what drove him?

We will be happy to tell you during our Rubens walk.
